Specifications
Confirm model, interface type, rate, power, airflow and software version before ordering.
MCP1600-E003E26 is physically a 3 m QSFP28 passive copper cable and is identified for 100Gb/s InfiniBand EDR. A connector that fits does not prove the link will operate. Port mode, protocol, firmware, cable identification and speed negotiation must agree at both endpoints.
| Method | Typical fit | Main checks |
|---|---|---|
| Passive DAC | Short, low-power in-rack or adjacent-device link | Length, bend radius, coding and port support |
| AOC | More reach or a lighter cable assembly | Device coding, power, route and service method |
| Optics plus fiber | Structured cabling or longer distance | Modules, fiber type, wavelength, polarity and distance |
Not necessarily, but no cross-vendor conclusion should be made from connector type alone. Use documented support or a controlled interoperability test.
Do not pull or exceed bend limits. Compare an appropriate AOC or optical design before changing the rack route.
Evidence boundary: This page provides a verification method, not a universal compatibility claim. The tested endpoint pair and firmware versions define the usable result.
See the interconnect compatibility workflow or browse the DAC and AOC catalog.
