Start with capacity, not an AP count

The existing WA5530-FIT description highlights tri-radio 802.11ac operation, eight streams and dense access. In a classroom or busy shared area, however, the number of APs should not be calculated from floor area alone. Concurrent clients, application demand, channel reuse and wired backhaul all affect the result.

Deployment workflow

1. Build a client profile: document standards, device counts, roaming behavior and critical applications.
2. Plan RF: use a survey to choose mounting locations, channels and transmit power.
3. Validate PoE: confirm the power standard, switch budget, cable path and failure behavior.
4. Check wired capacity: compare AP uplinks, access-switch load and aggregation bandwidth with expected demand.
5. Confirm the controller: verify the controller model, software version, licenses and current configuration.
